Hayley mortram – sister
Meet Hayley, a fellow animal enthusiast just like me! She has a deep love for all creatures, big and small, and has grown up surrounded by a wonderful variety of pets, including hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, cats, and dogs. In her free time, Hayley loves lending a helping hand at Mortram’s Moggies, especially when it comes to housesitting and providing extra cuddles for our furry friends. When she’s not caring for pets, you might find her hiking through picturesque trails, soaking up the scenic views during her adventures. With Hayley on board, you can be sure that your pet will receive tons of love and attention while enjoying their time at home!
Imogen Gooding – Registered Veterinary Nurse
I’m excited to introduce you to Imogen, my incredible colleague of 15 years! With over 30 years of experience as a highly qualified Veterinary Nurse, she guarantees a seamless level of care for your pets, even when I can’t be there. Imogen shares her home with Ginny, her adorable Labrador, and her two playful cats, Mark and Leah. Beyond her passion for animals, she’s also an assistant Scout leader at her local church, helping to inspire the next generation. In her downtime, you’ll find Imogen catching up with friends or enjoying long, scenic walks with Ginny by her side. Rest assured, your furry family members will be in fabulous hands with Imogen!
Caroline Fossey – Volunteer at The Celia Hammond Trust
Meet Caroline, a true cat aficionado whose life has been filled with feline friends! After dedicating 16 years to her role at a national newspaper, she followed her heart and took voluntary redundancy to pursue her passion for animal care. Now, she’s a devoted volunteer at the Celia Hammond Trust in New Cross, where she cleans cages, feeds, and plays with shy and timid cats. The joy she feels as these cats begin to trust and open up makes her work incredibly rewarding, especially knowing that it helps them find their forever homes.
Caroline is also a proud cat mom to two adopted furballs from the rescue centre. She has experience caring for her neighbour’s cats while they’re away, including administering daily medications for their special health needs. With Caroline’s loving touch and expertise, you can feel confident that your precious pets will receive the best care possible while they’re in her hands!
Andy Smith - Actor
Allow me to introduce Andy, who hails from Birmingham and has quickly become a valued member of the Mortram’s Moggies team since December 2023. Alongside caring for our beloved feline companions, Andy has a passion for acting and has showcased his talent in several productions, including the acclaimed West End show, Jersey Boys.
Known for his trustworthiness, kindness, and patience, Andy brings a wealth of experience in working with animals. Currently not involved in any acting projects, he is able to devote plenty of time to getting to know your kitties and ensuring they feel comfortable and loved. With Andy on the team, you can be confident that your furry friends are in great hands!
Naydene Berry - Cattery assistant
Meet Naydene, a passionate animal lover with a heart dedicated to caring for cats! With experience as a voluntary cat assistant and a loving cat of her own, Naydene has a good understanding of feline needs. Her time working in a cattery has equipped her with the skills to clean cages and litter trays, feed cats, and socialise with those who may be more anxious or considered ‘difficult.’
Caring for your cats is always the highlight of Naydene’s day! When she’s not nurturing furry friends, she enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her friends and family (and of course, her cat!). You can rest assured that Naydene takes great pride in caring for your feline companions, bringing the same love and attention to them as she does to her own beloved pet!

Our Services
DAILY CHECK-IN
Are you going on holiday? Do you hate the idea of sending your beloved puss to a cattery? Or maybe they require a daily medication due to a chronic health problem…
As Veterinary nurses, we specialise in pets with health problems which means we can monitor for any issues, administer injections/medications and react a lot faster to change than an untrained person.
Cats are very territorial animals who are very attached to their own home environment, this way your cat gets to relax in their own home without the stress of going into a cattery. Which guarantees a worry free holiday for you and your cat.
DIABETIC CHECK-IN
Managing a diabetic pet requires special attention and care. Our Diabetic Check-In Service is designed to provide peace of mind for pet owners by ensuring their pet receives the necessary monitoring and support for their condition while they are away.
House Sitting & OVERNIGHT STAYs
If you are wanting a reliable honest and trustworthy person to take care of your property as well as your pet whilst you are away then a live-in pet sitter is a great choice.
This service is ideal if you have a elderly or sick pet, an animal that requires medication or a multi pet household.
A live-in pet sitter is great for those who simply want the added security of someone staying in their own home whilst they're away. So you can enjoy your holiday knowing your pet and property are in safe hands.
Our Veterinary Nurse Services
Does your pet get stressed going to the vets? Maybe their diabetic and need regular injections? Or perhaps they need extra medical care?
Do you or your pet need some extra help at home? Our qualified veterinary nurses here at Mortrams Moggies are available to help you with general pet care or more intensive care for pets with special medical needs.
Our veterinary nurse services include:
Administering injections
Administering flea and worming products
Nail clipping
Administering sub-cut fluids
nail clipping
Sometimes our beloved pets nails get too long and need trimming. Elderly pets who may not go out as much regularly need this done. We are more than happy to do this for you in the comfort of their own home which ensures no more stressful journeys to the vets.
“No more stressful journeys to the vets, all can be done in the comfort of your own home.”
general pet care
We can make sure your pet stays up to date with their monthly flea and worming treatments whilst you are away. We are more than happy to apply the flea product provided by your Veterinary surgeon so you can go away knowing their preventative treatments are being kept up to date which ensures a worry free trip.
Worming our pets can be very challenging which often leads to our beloved pet becoming stressed or anxious which is something we would like to avoid before setting off into the sunset. Luckily we have quite a lot of practice administering tablets to our not so cooperative patients. We can make sure it is administered in the correct way which means avoiding those stressful situations for you and your pet.

happy customers
The highest standards... The happiest customers... Hear what our clients are saying about Mortram's Moggies. Below are just a few testimonials of our happy cats that we’ve been looking after over the years and will continue to do so.
“Our boy Boris is a shy lad. In fact he is petrified of most people. But he just loves Zoe because she takes such good care of him when we are away. Zoe texts me each time she visits and sends me pictures of him so I know he’s OK. Thank goodness we found her, it means we can go away without worrying which means a lot! ”
“We discovered Zoe through our local vets and she’s been a god send! She has been brilliant at looking after Rosie whilst we’ve been away and I always feel at ease knowing she’s popping in every day to check on her, and the house. Nothing’s too much trouble and she’s even watered our plants so that they’re also cared for. I highly recommend Mortram’s Moggies! ”
“Zoe has been looking after my cat Sashi for quite a few years now and I can only say positive things about her service. Zoe and her staff have a very good approach with cats, and they care about the animal investing a great deal of time and effort into their cat sitting. Zoe particularly, as the boss, is incredibly reliable and accommodating and goes the extra mile when her clients need her. I am truly overjoyed to have met her and to have her and her team looking after my Sashi. And Sashi loves Zoe, when she comes in, he jumps down from his condo and is purring away. Thank you so much Zoe and team for all your hard work and for the love you give to our beloved pets. Highly recommended!”
“Zoe is the pair of safe hands our nervous, shy and rebellious cat Scampi needs whenever we’re away. She always goes above and beyond (even managing to track him down in the neighbourhood when a visitor accidentally let him out). Have no hesitation in recommending Zoe and her services.”
“Zoe and Imogen looked after our cat Tilly during half-term. We needed the reassurance of veterinary experience as Tilly had been hit by a car and was recovering from her leg being operated on. As it turned out, the help was invaluable and a couple of vet visits were made. Thanks for your help and Tilly is now recovering well!”
“I’m feel completely at ease when Zoe is looking after my cat Mittens. She keeps me updated without me even asking and I can see the affection Zoe has for her. What’s more I come back to a very happy cat every time! Xx”
“We’ve been using Zoe for over a year for our cat Guinness and couldn’t be happier with the service. She is efficient, responds quickly to booking enquiries, and we really appreciate the messages every time she or a member of her team visits. Guinness is a rescue cat and lives indoors permanently due to an illness, so we were quite nervous about leaving him with someone new when we go away. We needn’t have worried as it’s now such a wonderful piece of mind knowing that he is well looked after in great hands.”
“Zoe has been cat sitting Feifei for a couple of years now. Always a top-notch experience. Especially after we moved to a new house, Feifei wasn’t quite settled in, so in the end we had Zoe, or one of her team members, house-sit for us as well. It is such a relief to know that Feifei (and our home) is in good hands when we are away. We’re grateful to have found Zoe through our local vet. Whenever we’re away we know our precious old girl and our home will be taken care of by someone who’s kind, caring and trustworthy.”
“Zoe has taken fantastic care of my cat Missy for a number of years now. It’s been hugely reassuring having an experienced veterinary nurse looking after them, especially when they’ve been ill. It means I’ve been able to leave them knowing they will be in great hands, and I don’t have to worry. Very happy to recommend Zoe’s services as a cat sitter.”
“I would not hesitate to highly recommend Zoe and her team at Mortram’s Moggies. I can be away from home with work for days, even weeks, sometimes at very short notice. Zoe has always been there to provide professional care and excellent communication while I am away. It gives me such great peace of mind that my pet ‘Monkey’ is being so well looked after and cared for.”
“We have been using Mortram’s Moggies for our two cats Roly & Teasel from when they were kittens which is almost two years now. Zoe and her team do a fantastic job of looking after our cats whenever we are away - they provide excellent care and are always very accommodating with any requests we might have. We get daily updates and always return to two very happy, content and well-groomed cats.”
“Having Zoe and her team look after Duffy while we are away is a great comfort to us. Duffy is a very social cat and enjoys being around loving people, and we always feel confident that she is being well looked after. Zoe’s qualification as a veterinary nurse also give us great comfort that Duffy will be in safe hands if anything were to ever go wrong. We would highly recommend Zoe and her team! ”
