Welcome to Mortram's Moggies home cat care and pet sitting services. My name is Zoe Mortram and as a pet owner myself, I understand that our furry companions prefer to be within their own environment, which is usually in their own home. Mortram's Moggies wants you and your moggie to be happy so I have created a service that ensures a positive experience.
Zoe Mortram - owner
I have over 15 years of Veterinary Nurse training and experience. I can administer oral medications where required and also cater for animals with specific medical conditions such as diabetes requiring more intensive monitoring and care. This ensures that you have peace of mind whilst I am caring for your beloved family member from a highly trained experienced background as if they were my own! Both you and your pet are guaranteed the highest level of care when using my service.
Hayley mortram – sister
Hayley a huge animal lover like myself, who has always had a great interest and fondness for animals of all shapes and sizes. She has grown up with hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, cats and dogs. In her spare time she is extremely happy to help Mortram’s Moggies and particularly enjoys housesitting. She also likes to go hiking to experience scenic views on her travels.
Imogen Gooding – Registered Veterinary Nurse
Imogen and I have worked together for the past 15 years, She is a highly qualified Veterinary Nurse with over 30 years experience which ensures my clients a continuous high level of care should I not be able to visit. She shares her home with Ginny the amazing Labrador and two cats, Mark and Leah. Imogen is also an assistant Scout leader at her local church. In her spare time, Imogen enjoys catching up with friends and enjoys long walks with Ginny.
Caroline Fossey – Volunteer at The Celia Hammond Trust
There have always been cats in Caroline’s life and after 16 years she took voluntary redundancy from her job on a national newspaper and started working as a volunteer at the Celia Hammond Trust in New Cross where she cleans cages, feeds and plays with nervous/timid cats. She finds it very rewarding, especially when the cats start to relax and become more friendlier as this helps them with finding a home. Caroline adopted two cats from the rescue centre and has looked after neighbour’s cats whilst they have been away, she was responsible for administering tablets as the cat’s both had medical conditions which required daily medication and monitoring.
Andy Smith - Actor
Andy who is originally from Birmingham has been a valuable member of the Mortram’s Moggies team since December 2023. Apart from taking care of our feline friends, Andy enjoys pursuing acting in his free time. He has showcased his talent in various productions, including the renowned West End show Jersey Boys. Andy is known for his trustworthiness, kindness, patience, and experience in working with animals. His commitment to the team has been exceptional since he joined in December 2023. Currently not engaged in any acting projects, he will be able to dedicate ample time to familiarise himself with your kitties.
Naydene Berry - Cattery assistant
Naydene is a huge animal lover, with experience caring for cats as a voluntary cat assistant, alongside having a cat of her own! Having experience working in a cattery, Naydene is fully experienced in cleaning cages and litter trays, feeding cats and socialising with cats who may be seen as ‘difficult’ or simply more anxious than others! Visiting and caring for your cats is always the highlight of her day! During her spare time, she enjoys cooking, and spending time with friends and family (and cat!!) I can assure you that Naydene takes pride, and finds much enjoyment in taking care of your feline friends, the same way she takes care of her own!

DAILY CHECK-IN
Are you going on holiday? Do you hate the idea of sending your beloved puss to a cattery? Or maybe they require a daily medication due to a chronic health problem…
As Veterinary nurses, we specialise in pets with health problems which means we can monitor for any issues, administer injections/medications and react a lot faster to change than an untrained person.
Cats are very territorial animals who are very attached to their own home environment, this way your cat gets to relax in their own home without the stress of going into a cattery. Which guarantees a worry free holiday for you and your cat.
House Sitting
If you are wanting a reliable honest and trustworthy person to take care of your property as well as your pet whilst you are away then a live-in pet sitter is a great choice.
This service is ideal if you have a elderly or sick pet, an animal that requires medication or a multi pet household.
A live-in pet sitter is great for those who simply want the added security of someone staying in their own home whilst they're away. So you can enjoy your holiday knowing your pet and property are in safe hands.
general pet care
We can make sure your pet stays up to date with their monthly flea and worming treatments whilst you are away. We are more than happy to apply the flea product provided by your Veterinary surgeon so you can go away knowing their preventative treatments are being kept up to date which ensures a worry free trip.
Worming our pets can be very challenging which often leads to our beloved pet becoming stressed or anxious which is something we would like to avoid before setting off into the sunset. Luckily we have quite a lot of practice administering tablets to our not so cooperative patients. We can make sure it is administered in the correct way which means avoiding those stressful situations for you and your pet.
nail clipping
Sometimes our beloved pets nails get too long and need trimming. Elderly pets who may not go out as much regularly need this done. We are more than happy to do this for you in the comfort of their own home which ensures no more stressful journeys to the vets.
Grooming

We are also able to recommend professional grooming services within the South London area so please enquire for a list of recommendations.
We can also give you a list of recommended products that we have used on your pet which enables you to continue a grooming regime at home so your furry friend stays knot free.

Before your planned trip, we will arrange to meet you at your home to go through your cat’s daily routine, collect a set of house keys and discuss any additional care that your pet may need.
VIDEO CONSULtation…
free
We now offer a FREE video consultation for those clients who are happy to meet their pet sitter over video call. Once your booking has been confirmed, the sitter will contact you directly to arrange their introductory call.
(A £20 registration fee will apply to ALL new client’s)
Daily Check in Service (1 Visit)...
£18 - 1 or 2 cats

These visits are all generally 25 minutes long which include the following :
Providing fresh food and water to your pet
Daily cleaning of food and water bowls
Cleaning of the litter tray
Playtime with lots of cuddles
Bringing in the mail
Watering a reasonable number of house plants
Emptying of the waste/recycling bin
Making sure the refuse bin is out for collection which includes bringing it back in
Text message or email updates of your pet with pictures 2 - 3 times a week

Being highly experienced Veterinary nurses, we can offer additional care for pets with special requirements. We charge an additional £6 a day for pets that require medication whilst in our care.

SECURING YOUR BOOKINg
To ensure your booking is confirmed, we will need to take a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure the dates that you have requested. This gets deducted from your final bill. Payments can be made via bank transfer only.
Last Minute booking Fee... £20
A last minute booking fee will be charged if we are given less than 72 hours notice for new bookings.

The initial collection is free of charge as we do like to collect a set of keys at our initial consultation, we can then keep hold of your keys in a safe and secure environment. If you prefer that keys are collected prior to each booking or returned once you are home then charges will apply.

BANK HOLIDAY BOOKINGS
Public and bank holidays are charged at a double rate where only one visit is scheduled unless your pet requires extra medical care.
Christmas and new years eve bookings
All bookings between the 23rd of December - 4th of January will be charged an additional £10 per day.
These visits include all of the above plus the following :
Opening and closing of curtains in the mornings and evenings
Alternating lights within the house to give it the occupied look whilst you are away
If you require additional services, please do not hesitate to ask as I am more than happy to personalise my service.
HOUSE SITTING...
£70 per day
£85 per day (bank holiday rate)
Here at Mortram’s Moggies we charge a daily rate for our live-in pet sitting service which requires a 3 day minimum booking period.
Your live-in pet sitter needs to be able to leave your house for a maximum of 6hours a day to continue with other pet sitting or private duties.

CANCELLATION CHARGEs…
We understand that things happen that cause plans to change. Once we have scheduled and confirmed your booking.
a) If cancellation is given to Mortram’s Moggies in writing 14 days prior to the booking there will be no charge.
b) If cancellation is given in writing between 13 and 8 days prior to the booking then a 25% of the total invoice will be charged.
c) If cancellation is given in writing between 7 days and 48 hours prior to the booking then 50% of the total invoice will be charged.
d) If cancellation is given in writing less than 48 hours prior to the booking you will be charged the full invoice.
e) In the unlikely event that we cannot honour your booking we will substitute an alternative Pet Sitter or your monies will be refunded.
BOOKING AMENDMENTS FEE…
We understand that plans may change prior to your booking which is why we offer the first amendment FREE OF CHARGE.
A £20 administrative fee will apply to any further changes made to your booking.
